Yey! We started working on this year’s English Department activity.
Obviously, due to the current state of things with the pandemic, we can’t perform our iconic English Night, but this is a start and the kids are enthusiastic 🤩
Here are a few 12th grades from my groups working on the preparations for the Scavenger Hunt.
As part of the drama unit, our 12th grade Advanced English class conducted a debate based on the play The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare.
They argued in favor or against 1. Shylock’s demands being just or unjust and 2. Portia and Bassanio really being in love or not.
I have to say that I enjoyed their cleverness, dispositions, study and, overall, how it was a fun activity.
